Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, beat together the sugar and softened butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy. (3-5 minutes)

03

Step

Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and salt to the sugar and butter mixture. Mix until thoroughly combined. (1-2 minutes)

04

Step

With a wooden spoon, gently mix in the matzo cake meal, cocoa powder, and cinnamon until mostly combined. Switch back to the electric mixer and beat until the batter is thoroughly combined and smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. (1-2 minutes)

05

Step

Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. (1 minute)

06

Step

Pour the batter into the center of the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly. (1 minute)

07

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, approximately 25 minutes. (25 minutes)

08

Step

Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. (10 minutes)

09

Step

Slice the brownies into 18 squares and carefully transfer them to a serving plate. Place the plate on a wire rack until the brownies are thoroughly cooled. (30 minutes)

For a richer flavor, use Dutch-processed cocoa powder.
Store cooled brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
To make these brownies even more decadent, consider adding a swirl of melted chocolate or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking.
